„LA Galaxy“ team has reached an agreement with former „Milan“ defender Nigel de Jong regarding his joining the team.
The „Galaxy“ club refused to comment on this news, but the LA Times confirmed the player's joining the MLS-playing team. By acquiring the experienced Dutchman, the team completed an intense five-day period during which they added three players.
Earlier this week, the acquisitions of Ashley Cole and Jelle Van Damme were announced. All three „Galaxy“ newcomers will not cost the team a penny. De Jong, before arriving in Los Angeles, reached an agreement with the „Milan“ club to terminate his contract that had been valid for another year and a half.
It is expected that all three newcomers will be officially presented during the upcoming week.
