Munich's "Bayern" team is beginning another journey towards the coveted trophy - the UEFA Champions League cup.
On Wednesday, the Germans will compete in Portugal, where they will try to defeat the "Benfica" team. Before the match, the coach of the Bundesliga champions, Niko Kovac, expressed his expectations.
"Our group is very attractive, but it won't be easy to play. Many people would say that "Bayern" is the favorite, of course, that's what we are, but you can't say that for sure. You never know what can happen in reality.
Now we will play in Lisbon, where the "Benfica" club, like "Bayern," has won the champions' title in the country the most number of times.
The "Ajax" team is also a record holder. AEK, due to the dominance of "Olympiakos," cannot boast such an achievement in Greece.
We will play against very interesting opponents and it won't be easy. That's why we can't afford to lose concentration," said N. Kovac.
"The first group matches are important, just like in a World or European Championship. They can either relieve tension or, on the contrary, add to it," insisted the Croatian.
