No competitors left: United Kingdom and Ireland should host the 2028 European Championship

The 2028 European Football Championship is expected to take place in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Although the official hosts of this tournament have not been determined yet, on Wednesday the Turkish Football Federation announced that they are withdrawing from the competition for the right to host the 2028 Old Continent Championship.

It was Turkey that was the only competitor to the United Kingdom and Ireland, who submitted a joint bid to host the tournament.

Turkey will now focus all attention on the opportunity to host the 2032 European Championship, which the Turks want to organize with the Italians.
