On Friday, the nose operation was performed on the English national team striker Peter Crouch, so the footballer will not be able to help the national team in matches against the teams of Israel and Andorra.

The Englishman suffered an injury on February 24 in a match against Sheffield Utd, when the striker of the latter club, Rob Hulse, hit P. Crouch in the face. The footballer had hoped to wait for the operation until the end of the season. However, he later changed his mind and decided to undergo surgery during the season.

The Liverpool striker hopes to return to the field on April 7 for the match against Reading club. This would mean that the footballer will not be able to help his team in important matches against Aston Villa and Arsenal.

"The thing is, due to the injury, my breathing is not as it should be. It affects my game, so I have to fix it," commented P. Crouch on his decision.

"Doctors said I won't be able to play for three, four weeks. It really frustrates me, because at this stage of the season, I wouldn't want to miss any matches," the striker did not hide his disappointment.
