28-year-old Steven N'Zonzi may return to the English Premier League in the near future.
The defensive midfielder, known for his physical attributes, has been having problems at Sevilla lately. The Frenchman was once again left out of the squad for today's UEFA Champions League match against Maribor.
This is not the first time S. N'Zonzi has been left out of the team - he was also not registered for matches against Villarreal, Categena, and Deportivo.
The Spanish media claims that S. N'Zonzi had a falling out with the coaching staff and club management after being substituted in the first half of the match against Liverpool. Since then, the Frenchman has not played in any matches.
Formerly among the best defensive midfielders in the league, S. N'Zonzi is being pursued by two Premier League clubs - Liverpool's Everton and London's Arsenal. Both clubs are planning to offer the player a contract in the upcoming transfer window.
Coincidentally, S. N'Zonzi traveled to London today. It is said that the player received permission to visit his son, but it is unlikely that he traveled to the English capital for just that reason.
The Frenchman, who has previously played for Blackburn and Stoke City, has a release clause of 35 million pounds in his contract with Sevilla.
