"Barcelona" in the ranks, not yet having had time to debut Ousmane Dembele already praises the five-time "Ballon d'Or" winner Lionel Messi. According to him, the Argentine is the best player in football history.
The 20-year-old joined the Catalan team at the end of August. The Frenchman became the replacement for Neymar, who left for a record sum of 222 million euros from "Paris Saint-Germain".
However, this transfer was not without intrigue, as in order to secure his release to his dream club, the young talent missed training sessions with "Borussia Dortmund".
"I especially remember two matches", - Dembele told Sport. "One of them was against 'Chelsea', when Iniesta scored a goal that allowed us to reach the Champions League final. I remember them now when I see Andres. I can't wait to tell him about it."
"The other was a Champions League match against 'Arsenal'. 'Barcelona' hadn't played well in the first match, but in the second they put on an impeccable performance, and Messi scored four goals."
"That's when I realized that Messi is out of this world. It was unbelievable."
"I had a poster of Iniesta. He seemed like a different kind of footballer to me: elegant, special... a genius. I watched all of Barcelona's matches to see how they play and to watch the geniuses Iniesta and Messi. Then I would try to imitate them, but it was difficult."
"They do things that no one else can do. Messi always plays at a higher level. He is the best player in history!"
One of the most promising young talents, Dembele, arrived at 'Barca' last season, scoring 10 goals and providing 21 assists in 49 games in all competitions.
