O. G. Solskjaer: "Greenwood filled the gap left by Lukaku"

"Manchester United" said goodbye to their main striker Romelu Lukaku last summer, who moved to Inter Milan.

The "Red Devils" did not seek a replacement for the Belgian forward in the national team, as the opportunity was given to young academy player Mason Greenwood.

Just 18 years old, the Englishman is performing excellently with his tasks so far and has scored 8 goals in 22 matches this season.

"Man Utd" manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praised his strikers' performances this season ahead of the upcoming match against "Arsenal" and said that M. Greenwood has filled the gap left by R. Lukaku.

"We always believed that Martial and Rashford could score many goals, but Greenwood also does excellent work and has filled the gap left by Lukaku. He has scored quite a few goals, so I can be calm about my strikers.

Greenwood has already scored 8 goals, Rashford has 16 to his name, and Martial is also performing steadily.

Lukaku is a great striker and always scored goals for us, but it was time for him to leave. We couldn't find a suitable replacement for him in another team, so we gave a chance to our academy graduate," - said O. G. Solskjaer.
