Despite the fact that Olivier Giroud is impatient to hear Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger's decision about the future, he is not considering the possibility of leaving London's Arsenal.
The French national team striker has been linked for some time with a return to his homeland, with Marseille and Lyon showing interest in him.
However, his agent Michael Manuelo has now revealed that the 30-year-old's priority is to stay among the Gunners.
"There were rumors that Olivier had been in touch with Rudi Garcia (Marseille's coach - ed.). I have already said that this is not true," Manuelo told Foot Mercato.
"When we know exactly what Arsene Wenger will do, we will ask ourselves questions. We will think about what is possible and what is impossible."
"Today, when I talk to Olivier, there are no discussions about other projects. I think that when you are at this level, first of all you have to think about the club."
"We are not going to hypothetically talk about whether Inter Milan, Marseille, Napoli, and Lyon are interested. His future is not only related to the coach's future."
"It is related to what Arsenal intends to do, and whether anyone will change within Arsenal related to Olivier's place in this project. Nothing has changed since his contract extension."
"Our desire is to stay at Arsenal for a long time. Olivier has been here for five years. Olivier's goal is still to go as far as possible in this adventure with Arsenal and achieve great things there."
"At some point, we will see if our paths diverge. But this is not anyone's intention."
This season, Giroud scored 13 goals in 34 matches, only five away from pulling the Arsenal shirt for the 100th time with a precise strike.
