Ukraine continues to fight for its freedom against the aggressor Russia.
Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reduced the age of men called up to the army from 27 to 25 years old.
Commenting on the situation in his country with the BBC was Oleksandr Zinchenko, a player for London's "Arsenal," who stated that he would defend his homeland if necessary.
"If needed, I would go to defend Ukraine. There is no doubt about that.
Some of my friends are currently at the front lines. It's hard to comprehend that not long ago we were playing in the yard, and now they have to defend our freedom.
It's very hard for me to understand, but we cannot give up. I understand that most people think that it's much easier for me to talk while being in London, rather than in Ukraine itself. I hope that this will all end soon.
Currently, I am very proud to call myself Ukrainian. I really hope that we will soon see the Ukraine we dream of," said O. Zinchenko.
