Los Angeles' "Galaxy" announced that they have reached an agreement with former England national team left back Ashley Cole for a transfer to the United States.
The 35-year-old footballer signed a contract with "Roma" in the summer of 2014, but in January of this year, the contract was mutually terminated and the Englishman became a free agent.
"Ashley is one of the most successful defenders in the world, playing at the highest level for many years. We are very happy that he is joining our team," said LA Galaxy coach Bruce Arena.
So far, the duration of the contract between "Galaxy" and A. Cole has not been disclosed, but it is speculated to be no less than 1.5 years.
This season, A. Cole did not play any matches for the Italian capital city team.
