Longstanding rumors about Antonio Conte's arrival at London's "Chelsea" have been confirmed. The 2012 UEFA Champions League winners officially announced that the football specialist from Italy will take over as the club's head coach from summer onwards.
At 46, Conte currently coaches the Italian national team, but had already confirmed earlier that he would leave the national team after the 2016 European Championship.
For some time, it was undisputed that A. Conte would succeed Guus Hiddink. The former manager of Turin's "Juventus" signed a three-year contract with "Chelsea".
"I am excited about the opportunity to coach 'Chelsea'," A. Conte officially told the club's website. "I am very happy that these speculations will finally come to an end. Now I want to focus all my attention on the Italian national team, and later start my journey at 'Chelsea'."
While coaching "Juventus", A. Conte won the Italian championship three times in a row.
