"Roma" announced on their official website that the latest addition to the team is 31-year-old Serbian national team left-back Aleksandar Kolarov.
The official statement reveals that a three-year contract has been signed with the experienced footballer. The Italian vice-champions paid 5 million euros for the defender from the "Manchester City" team.
A. Kolarov was a key player for Pep Guardiola's team at the beginning of last season. The coach used the Serb in both left-back and center-back positions. However, the defender was no longer as important to P. Guardiola in the second half of the season, and it was decided to part ways with him this summer.
"I am very happy to be here," said A. Kolarov. "I will give my all for the 'Roma' club. My goal everywhere and always has been the same - to win."
A. Kolarov played for "Man City" team since 2010. The Serb played a total of 243 matches in seven seasons, scored 21 goals, and became the English champion twice.
To make A. Kolarov's arrival a true buzz on social media, "Roma" created another sarcastic video introducing the team's newcomer.
