"Lyon" extended the contract with team leader Alexandre Lacazette until 2019. This was announced at a press conference where the club's new player Rafael was presented by president Jean-Michel Aulas. The 24-year-old striker scored 27 goals last season and became the top scorer in "Ligue 1", so this summer he was sought after by several strong European teams. "I am very happy that Alexandre has extended his contract for another year," said Aulas. "These are great news for the club," added former team coach Bernard Lacombe, who now works as a team advisor. The striker himself radiated optimism at the press conference.
