Official: A. Oxlade-Chamberlain moves to Liverpool

“Liverpool” finally introduced their latest purchase - London “Arsenal” midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

It became clear yesterday that the 24-year-old footballer will move to Anfield, as he refused to be sold to London “Chelsea” club.

The main reason why the Englishman wants to play for the “Reds” is that he hopes to be used in the central midfield position, which Arsene Wenger does not see him in.

Because of this, Oxlade-Chamberlain last week refused to sign a new contract that would earn him £180,000 per week. In comparison, reports say that his weekly wages at “Liverpool” will be just £120,000.

The England international signed a five-year contract with his new club, for which a fee of between £35 million and £40 million was paid. This is the highest amount “Arsenal” has ever sold a player for.

In July, Wenger said he was 100 percent sure that Oxlade-Chamberlain would stay at the club, so he did not expect any changes at the moment.

Last season, the versatile footballer scored six goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions.

One happy man.
