On Thursday evening, London's "Arsenal" club officially announced the signing of winger Alexis Sanchez from "Barcelona", hailing from Chile.
Rumors of the Chilean's move to the "Gunners" had been circulating for some time, with interest also from "Liverpool" and Turin's "Juventus" clubs.
Sanchez's future at Barcelona became uncertain when negotiations began between the Catalan club and Liverpool regarding forward Luis Suarez's transfer to Luis Enrique's team.
The Chilean national team player moved to Barcelona from Udinese in 2011, with the Catalans paying €26 million for him.
During his three years in Spain, Sanchez played in 141 matches, contributing with 47 goals and 36 assists.
Unofficial reports suggest that "Arsenal" had to pay around £35 million for Sanchez, who signed a four-year contract with the club.
