Official: A. Schurrle leaves "Chelsea" and moves to "Wolfsburg"

"Wolfsburg" announced on their official website that they have completed negotiations with London's "Chelsea" on the last day of the transfer window to acquire winger Andre Schurrle.

Rumors about the 24-year-old footballer's return to Germany have been circulating for some time. It was thought that he would be competing with Borussia Dortmund for the German, but the "black and yellows" did not even make an offer.

Having almost no playing time at Chelsea, A. Schurrle signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with "Wolfsburg," with the "Wolves" not hesitating to pay 22.5 million pounds sterling for him.

The player arrived at Jose Mourinho's team in 2013, leaving Bayer Leverkusen for a sum of 18 million pounds sterling.

However, A. Schurrle did not shine in the "blues" ranks and decided to return to his homeland. In his first season, the German played 44 matches and scored 9 goals, but in the following season, he appeared in the starting lineup only five times against "Premier" league clubs.
