Official: A. Vidalis will no longer play this season

During a training session that took place a few days ago, Bayern Munich defender Arturo Vidal injured his knee and will now undoubtedly miss the remaining matches of this season.

This will be a serious loss for the Bavarians as they await the UEFA Champions League semi-final, where they will face the reigning champions from the last two years, Real Madrid.

The Chilean player last wore the Bayern jersey in the Bundesliga just last month, but recently appeared on the field against Sevilla. However, in this match he only played for 36 minutes, and over the weekend the knee injury worsened and Vidal had to undergo surgery.

"Wishing you a speedy recovery, @kingarturo23," - the German champions wrote on their Twitter account.

"Yesterday, Vidal underwent knee surgery, which will prevent him from playing for the rest of the season."

In the official announcement on their website, it was added that the meniscus operation was successful.
