There will be no changes at London's "Arsenal" club - it has been announced on the official website that the contract with the team's head coach Arsene Wenger has been extended until 2019.
The 67-year-old strategist's contract with the "Gunners" was supposed to end this summer, but both parties have decided to continue their cooperation.
A. Wenger had a particularly difficult season - under his leadership, "Arsenal" finished fifth in the English "Premier" League and missed out on the UEFA Champions League, but over the weekend the "Gunners" managed to win the FA Cup trophy. The coach had to deal with pressure from fans who wanted the Frenchman to finally leave the club.
However, since 1996, A. Wenger, who has been leading the "Arsenal" team, had no intention of leaving his club so easily and will continue to manage the "Gunners" for the next two seasons.
"I love this club and I look forward to the future of this team with great optimism and excitement. We have always looked for solutions that could make our club even stronger. This summer will be no exception - we will try to find players with whom we can become an even more successful club," said the strategist.
In his more than 20 years at the "Arsenal" club, A. Wenger has won three "Premier" League trophies, seven FA Cups, and triumphed six times in the "Community Shield" tournament.
