London's "Arsenal" club had a busy day on Thursday - immediately after Dani Ceballos, another newcomer was announced.
The "Gunners" confirmed that they acquired 18-year-old "Saint-Etienne" center-back William Saliba for €30 million. The young footballer will spend the season in France and will join Arsenal next summer.
Another North London team was also interested in the promising defender, but Arsenal managed to outdo all their competitors.
Comparable to Raphael Varane, the Frenchman made his debut in the main "Saint-Etienne" team last season and played 19 matches.
The fact that W. Saliba will continue playing for the "Saint-Etienne" team for another season should lead Arsenal to search for another center-back.
William will spend a season back on loan at @ASSEofficiel before joining our squad next summer.
