"Arsenal" team officially confirmed that they bought "Basel" midfielder Mohamed Elneny.
The 23-year-old Egyptian midfielder cost "Gunners" 5 million pounds sterling.
Elneny joined "Basel" in 2013 from "El Mokawloon".
The defensive midfielder played over 100 matches for the Swiss club and represented the Egyptian national team 39 times.
This season, the player excelled in the Europa League tournament, where he stood out with his passing accuracy (average of 92, second place).
He is expected to compensate for the injuries of Francis Coquelin, Santi Cazorla, and Mikel Arteta.
