"Manchester City" team player, but last season defending the colors of "Fiorentina", Micah Richards remains in his homeland.
The 26-year-old defender has signed with the "Aston Villa" club.
He won't cost the Birmingham team a penny, because from July 1st the footballer will become a free agent.
"I am very pleased that we managed to attract Richards and I am convinced that he will justify all the hopes placed in him," said the team's coach Tim Sherwood.
The defender will become the second "Aston Villa" newcomer this summer - before that, a contract was agreed with winger Scott Sinclair.
