"Milan" and Madrid's "Atletico" have confirmed on their official websites that Nikola Kalinic is heading to the Spanish capital.
"Atletico" have agreed to pay 18 million euros for the 30-year-old forward. After the World Cup, the Croatian national team player, who will most likely end his career, will sign a three-year contract.
In "Milan", N. Kalinic spent only one season. He was loaned from "Fiorentina", but at the end of the season, "Milan" automatically acquired the rights to him.
The last season was not very successful for N. Kalinic - he scored only six goals in 41 games played.
Croatian Kalinic will most likely replace Kevin Gameiro at "Atletico", who is moving to "Valencia".
Agreement with @acmilan for the transfer of Kalinic. Welcome Niko!
