London's "Arsenal" club officially announced on Friday that the longtime team coach Arsene Wenger has extended his contract for another three years.
The 64-year-old strategist has been leading the "Gunners" for 17 years. Recently, there were talks that the Frenchman may have to leave "Arsenal" due to a lack of titles, but after winning the FA Cup, a new contract was offered to A. Wenger.
The former "Monaco" manager is currently the only coach in England who has been leading one club for so long. After extending the contract, he did not hide his joy.
"I want to stay and continue the work of building the club and the team. We have a strong squad, financial stability, and many fans around the world. We are determined to create success in this team.
"Arsenal" has always shown confidence in me. Together we have experienced both good and bad times, but we have always been together and overcome any difficulties," A. Wenger said.
The French coach has been leading the London club since 1996. During this time, he has won 12 trophies and three times he has triumphed in the Premier League.
