"Roma" confirmed the acquisition of Bergamo's "Atalanta" midfielder Bryan Cristante in their usual ironic style.
The 23-year-old midfielder initially joined the "giallorossi" for €5 million on a loan basis, with the capital club having to buy out his contract for €15 million once the loan agreement expires.
The Italian national team player agreed to spend a total of five years with "Roma", after playing for "Atalanta" for a season and a half.
"I am delighted, as joining Roma has always been my goal", Cristante told the official club website.
"Strong intentions to reach an agreement were evident from both my side and the club's side, and we were able to do so very quickly".
"I am confident that I will be able to demonstrate my best game and contribute a lot to this club".
Cristante is a product of the "Milan" academy and made his debut in the first team back in 2011. After three years, he moved to Lisbon's "Benfica", and now he has been wearing "Atalanta" colors.
This season, in 47 matches in all competitions, the midfielder scored 12 goals and made four assists. His performance attracted the attention of several strong "Premier" league teams.
