London's "Chelsea" club said goodbye to their long-time team member Branislav Ivanovic.
The 32-year-old right-back from Serbia is leaving the "Blues" club after nine years and returning to play in Russia, but this time not in Moscow, but in St. Petersburg, where he will wear the jersey of the "Zenit" club.
The defender's contract with "Chelsea" was set to expire after this season, but B. Ivanovic hardly played under Antonio Conte and the Serbian decided to leave earlier than planned.
The veteran signed a two and a half year contract with "Zenit."
B. Ivanovic joined "Chelsea" in January 2008. During his time there, the Serbian played 376 matches, scored 34 goals, won the Premier League title twice, and triumphed once in the UEFA Champions League.
IT'S OFFICIAL- Branislav Ivanovic is a Zenit player!
