Brendan Rodgers returns to the English Premier League - the football specialist takes over the reins of Leicester City.
For the last 2.5 years, the 46-year-old strategist worked at Glasgow Celtic club, but having received the opportunity to return to England, he terminated his contract with the Scots.
It is announced that Leicester has signed a contract with B. Rodgers until the summer of 2022.
"I am proud to become the coach of this team. I will dedicate my life so that fans can be proud of this team. I can't wait to meet the players and other staff," - said the Irishman in his first interview.
The coaching chair at Leicester became vacant after Claude Puel was relieved of his duties. He did not win a single time in the last seven matches.
B. Rodgers joined Celtic in 2016. So far, he has won all possible titles in Scotland, including two national champion trophies.
B. Rodgers has previously worked at Liverpool, Swansea, Reading, and Watford clubs.
