Official: B. Schweinsteiger leaves "Bayern" and moves to "Man Utd" (VIDEO)

Bastian Schweinsteiger, who has dedicated his entire career to the Munich club "Bayern", is leaving Germany and spreading his wings to the English "Premier" League.

Bavarian leader Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed today that he has reached an agreement with "Man Utd". After the German's words, a statement about the acquisition of the midfielder appeared on the "Red Devils" website.

"Man Utd" has reached an agreement with "Bayern" for Schweinsteiger's transfer. Further details will be communicated later, the German will undergo a medical examination in the near future," the website reads.

Louis van Gaal's coached team will pay 12 million pounds for the 30-year-old German. The midfielder will sign a three-year contract and will earn 180,000 pounds sterling per week.

Bastian Schweinsteiger made his debut in the first team in 2002. Throughout his time with the German champions, he played 500 matches and scored 67 goals.

The German won the German championship eight times with "Bayern", once clinched the UEFA Champions League, and lifted a total of 22 trophies during his career.
