Official: "Barcelona" acquires "Palmeiras" defender

“Barcelona” team is strengthening its defense. It has been officially announced that the Catalan team acquired Yerry Mina from the “Palmeiras” club for 11.8 million euros.

The 23-year-old Colombian defender will join “Barca” only in the summer, after the World Cup, but the Catalans wanted to make sure about Y. Mina's arrival earlier.

The footballer has signed a five-year contract with “Barcelona” and he should be very satisfied with it. The director of the “Palmeiras” team, Alexandre Mattosas, stated last week that the player has big dreams of joining the “Barcelona” team and nothing stood in his way.

The footballer started his career at the “Deportivo Pasto” club, played for a year in 2014, then moved to “Santa Fe” and in 2016 joined “Palmeiras”. He has also played for the Colombian national team 9 times and defended his country's honor at the Olympic Games in 2016.
