In the summer of 2015, "Barcelona" took advantage of the buy-back option in the contract and bought back their former player Gerard Deulofeu from Liverpool's "Everton" club for 12 million euros. The 23-year-old Spaniard returned to Barcelona after spending last season on loan at "Milan" and impressing with his performances.
It is not clear whether G. Deulofeu will continue his career at Barcelona, as he may struggle to compete with the MSN attacking trio. After playing only 4 games for Barcelona's first team, he left for "Everton", then joined "Sevilla", and finally returned to Liverpool.
Last season, Deulofeu played 18 games for "Milan" and scored 4 goals, leading to Barcelona signing him to a three-year contract.
