"Barcelona" announced unexpectedly on Thursday night that they reached an agreement with "Valencia" for the acquisition of midfielder Andre Gomes.
In the Spanish media recently, rumors have been circulating that 22-year-old player had signed with Madrid's "Real" club. "Marca" reported that an agreement between "Real" and the Portuguese had already been reached, and only formalities with "Valencia" regarding the transfer fee remained.
However, "Barcelona" surprisingly announced on Thursday night that they reached an agreement with "Valencia". No contract and transfer details have been disclosed yet, but it is believed that this transfer could cost around 50 million euros for Barcelona.
It is believed that Arda Turan will leave the Barcelona team this summer, which is why A. Gomes was specifically acquired.
The Portuguese national team member joined Valencia in the summer of 2014. Last season, he played 41 matches as a midfielder and scored five goals.
