Official: "Barcelona" snatches Malcom from under "Roma's" nose

"Roma" team suffered a blow - "Barcelona" snatched talented Malcolm from under the noses of the "Romans", who was already on his way to the Italian capital yesterday.

"Barcelona" officially announced on their website that the deal is completed, and Malcolm has already arrived in Barcelona. The Catalans reported that they will pay 41 million euros for the footballer, and he will sign a five-year contract.

Malcolm was supposed to arrive in Rome yesterday and sign a contract with the club of this city, but negotiations were halted when "Bordeaux" received a more profitable offer from "Barcelona" at the last minute.

"Roma" did not respond with a higher offer and Malcolm, who was already one foot in as a "Roma" player, will now play for the Spanish champions.

This step by "Barcelona" suggests that the club will no longer pursue London's "Chelsea" forward Willian, for whom they had made three offers over the past few weeks.

The 21-year-old Brazilian was pursued by major European clubs last year, but none of the negotiations were successful.

The footballer, who plays with his left foot, has played 96 matches and scored 23 goals for "Bordeaux" since January 2016. Before coming to Europe, the Brazilian gained experience with the "Corinthians" team.

Welcome Malcom! Welcome!
