"Barcelona" officially confirmed on their website that Arthur, who played for "Gremio", will be joining the main team this summer.
It is reported that a contract has been signed with the 21-year-old midfielder until 2024. The Catalans will pay 31 million euros for the player, but the amount could rise to 40 million euros depending on the achievements of both "Barca" and Arthur.
Arthur is considered one of the most talented players of his generation in Brazil. A midfielder known for his excellent ball control and vision, he reached an agreement with "Barcelona" back in March.
He will replace his fellow countryman Paulinho, who has moved to China, in the Barcelona team. However, according to the latest reports, Barcelona is still looking to strengthen their midfield and add a famous European player to their squad.
Arthur made his debut for "Gremio" in 2015. He has played 66 matches for the club and scored six goals.
