Officially announced an agreement reached with Alexander Hleb regarding the termination of the contract with him earlier than planned.
The thirty-year-old footballer's contract with the Spanish champions would have expired this summer, but the club agreed to terminate it with the player now, so A. Hleb gained the status of a free agent. The footballer can now negotiate with any team of his choice.
In 2008, "Barcelona" acquired A. Hleb from London's "Arsenal", but the midfielder only played in the first season at the Catalan club, appearing in 35 official matches. The footballer failed to fit in at Barcelona, so the following season the Belarusian was loaned to "Stuttgart" in the German Bundesliga, later he represented "Birmingham City", and in 2011 he was loaned to "Wolfsburg".
It is said that the Belarusian may join forces with Piraeus' "Olympiakos".
