On the official website of Bayern Munich, it was stated that they took advantage of the buyout clause in Kingsley Coman's contract and acquired all rights to the promising Frenchman for 21 million euros.
The 20-year-old winger joined the ranks of the German champions in the summer of 2015. Bayern borrowed the player for two seasons from Juventus in Turin and retained the option to acquire all rights to him after two seasons.
Having already paid 7 million euros for the loan, Bayern did not want to part ways with the Frenchman, so they paid an additional 21 million euros. The player himself signed a new three-year contract with the club.
"Kingsley Coman is the future of our team. Kingsley is a fast-improving and talented player. We are convinced that he will contribute greatly to the team's achievements in the coming years," said club president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
In his first season, K. Coman seamlessly integrated into the Bayern team - playing 37 matches, scoring seven goals, and providing 12 assists.
However, this season the player has not demonstrated the same results - scoring only two goals in 23 games.
