Official: "Bayern" acquires Frenchman C. Tolisso for a record sum for the club

Munich's "Bayern" club continues to strengthen - the 22-year-old "Lyon" defender Corentin Tolisso became the team's fourth newcomer. C. Tolisso, who has already made his debut for the French national team, cost a record amount for the Bavarians - 41.5 million euros. The player himself signed a five-year contract with "Bayern", valid until 2022. The transfer fee could reach up to 47.5 million euros if the defender manages to demonstrate excellent results with the team. Having spent his entire career at "Lyon", C. Tolisso plays in the position of a central midfielder, but he is distinguished by his versatility in the French team - he can play both as a holding midfielder and a right-back. It is believed that the arrival of this player could mean the departure of Renato Sanches. "We are very happy to have signed a contract with a young and promising player. It was difficult to acquire him, but we managed to reach an agreement. He is Carlo Ancelotti's dream in the defensive line," said Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. C. Tolisso played for the main "Lyon" team since 2013. Last season, the talented Frenchman scored 14 goals and made seven assists in 47 games. This summer, "Bayern" has already acquired four newcomers - besides C. Tolisso, the team was also reinforced by Serge Gnabry, Sebastian Rudy and Niklas Sule.
