"Bayern Munich" announced that they have signed "FC Dallas" defender Chris Richards on loan until the end of 2018.
The 18-year-old models his game after Bayern star Jerome Boateng, but will first join the U19 team led by Sebastiano Hoeneß.
The Alabama-born footballer impressed the German champions' coaches during a 10-day trial period.
"Chris made a very good impression during his trial period in Munich, so we decided to give him a chance to play for our U19 team," said Bayern's youth department head Jochen Sauer.
"We have a lot of trust in him."
Richard's arrival is one of the first fruits of the partnership between the German club and "FC Dallas" that started five months ago.
