Official: "Bayern" borrowed "Spartak" defender

Bayern" Munich has decided to strengthen their squad before the player transfer window closes.

It has been officially confirmed that the German champions have borrowed defender Serdar Tasci from Moscow's "Spartak", whose contract the Bundesliga team will be able to buy out at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old footballer made a name for himself at "Stuttgart". The decision to move to Russia did not work out for him - injuries plagued him, and constant changes in the club's lineup hindered his development.

"Bayern" club's sporting director Matthias Sammer was pleased with the addition to the club.

"It's great that we have the opportunity to invite a player like Serdar to our team. He will immediately be able to benefit the club", said Sammer.

"I feel very good and I am looking forward to a new challenge. I hope to be useful to the team," said Tasci, who has previously played for the German national team.
