Multiple German champions have reached an agreement with specialist Niko Kovač, who will replace Jupp Heynckes, who is returning to retirement next summer. The 46-year-old Croat has played two seasons in Munich in the past, and currently coaches the Frankfurt "Eintracht" team. A three-year contract has been signed with N. Kovač, and he will start work on July 1. The strategist cannot boast of a very high level of experience - he has worked as a national team coach in his country for a couple of years and aided the head coach of the "Salzburg" team. Currently, in the Bundesliga, the Frankfurt club holds fifth place.
