The new coach-having Dortmund "Borussia" continues shopping - the latest "yellow-black" purchase became 23-year-old "Freiburg" attacking midfielder Maximilian Philipp.
"Borussia" signed a contract with the footballer until 2022. It is reported that this deal cost the German cup winners 20 million euros.
M. Philipp, who plays as an attacking midfielder and forward, played 27 matches this season, scored nine goals, and made five assists. The footballer was briefly sidelined by injuries this season.
"We are very pleased that we managed to attract such a player to our team. He is a very versatile attacking midfielder, with excellent ball control and good vision," said BVB sports director Michael Zorc about the new purchase.
M. Philipp played for the main "Freiburg" team since 2014.
The Dortmund team has already acquired four new players in the off-season - in addition to M. Philipp, the team will also be joined by Dan-Axel Zagadou, Omer Toprak, and Mahmoud Dahoud in July.
