Dortmund's "Borussia" team officially announced that Turkish national team player Ömer Toprak will be joining their ranks from next season.
One of the best defenders in the Bundesliga, Leverkusen's "Bayer" team paid 12 million euros as the release clause - that was the exact amount written in the player's contract.
Toprak signed a four-year contract with "Borussia".
"Ömer already has a lot of international match experience and shows leadership qualities," said Dortmund's sports director Michael Zorc.
The 27-year-old Turk has previously played for the "Freiburg" team.
