Official: "Borussia" acquires Portuguese national team defender R. Guerreiro

Dortmund's "Borussia" has already confirmed the latest newcomer before the transfer window has even started. The German vice-champions officially announced that they acquired left-back Raphael Guerreiro from "Lorient" for approximately 12 million euros. The 22-year-old defender, who is currently in great sporting form, is participating in the 2016 European Championship with the Portuguese national team. There have been rumors in the media that Real Madrid and Liverpool are interested in the services of the Portuguese player, but BVB outperformed its competitors in the battle for the promising player's signature. R. Guerreiro played for "Lorient" team in 2013. This season was successful for the defender in France - he played 41 matches, scored three goals, and earned the trust of Portugal national team coach Fernando Santos. The player himself signed a four-year contract with "Borussia." The acquisition of R. Guerreiro is already the sixth for Dortmund during this offseason. Earlier, the team led by Thomas Tuchel confirmed the arrivals of Marco Bartra, Ousmane Dembele, Mikel Merino, Emre Mor, and Sebastiano Rode to the club.
