Dortmund's "Borussia" unexpectedly acquired Kevin Kampl, a midfielder from the Salzburg "Red Bull" team, before the January transfer window even started.
The 24-year-old footballer was born in Germany but represents the Slovenian national team. He is not new to the Bundesliga, as he spent a year with the main Leverkusen "Bayer" team.
Kampl signed a long-term contract with the "yellow-blacks". It is believed that he will not be the only player to join Dortmund during the winter period.
"Kevin Kampl will sign a long-term contract with Borussia," the official website states. "Kevin is a versatile attacking midfielder whom we have been watching for some time.".
"Borussia" is currently performing poorly in Germany and is in the penultimate 17th position. According to reports, the Slovenian cost the Germans about 10 million euros.
