Official: "Bournemouth" acquired a defender who played in Spain for 30 million euros.

"Bournemouth" announced on the last day of the "Premier" league transfer window about a record-breaking newcomer.

The official website states that 23-year-old defender Jefferson Lerma was purchased from Valencia's "Levante" for 30 million euros. He represented Colombia in the World Cup this summer.

"Bournemouth" sealed a five-year contract with the footballer.

"I am happy to be here," said the Colombian. "The deal took a long time, but I am glad I am finally here. I have always enjoyed the Premier League games and I am happy to be a part of it myself".

He played for "Levante" since 2015 and appeared in 93 matches, scoring three goals.
