With just a couple of days left until the start of the Spanish "La Liga" championship, the attacking line of their team was officially strengthened by the "Villarreal" team. The club, which finished fifth last season, added Carlos Bacca to their squad.
The 30-year-old forward arrives in Spain from the "Milan" team, which agreed to loan the Colombian to the "Villarreal" club for a year. The loan agreement also includes the option for the Spanish team to buy out the player's contract at the end of the season.
This will not be C. Bacca's first encounter with Spanish football - from 2013-2015 the forward represented the "Sevilla" team, where he scored 49 goals in 108 matches. His performance was also impressive in the "Milan" team, where he managed to score 34 goals in 77 matches.
In the first round of the "La Liga" championship, "Villarreal" will face an away match against the "Levante" team. This match will take place on Monday evening.
