London's "Crystal Palace" today officially confirmed the arrival of 25-year-old Christian Benteke to the club.
The exact transfer fee is not disclosed, but it is believed that the team led by Alan Pardew decided to pay 32 million pounds sterling to the Belgian for his move from "Liverpool." The Belgian striker has signed a four-year contract with "Crystal Palace."
C. Benteke, who joined the "Liverpool" club in 2015 for 32.5 million pounds sterling, will earn 120,000 pounds a week in London.
"I am very happy that the deal has been completed and now I can focus on the new season," said C. Benteke upon arriving at "Crystal Palace." "I am looking forward to getting on the pitch and helping the team achieve victories."
The transfer fee for "Crystal Palace" will cost 27 million pounds, but an additional 5 million pounds have been included in the deal, which will be added to the "Liverpool" budget depending on the player's and his new team's results.
The Belgian, who defended the honor of "Liverpool" just last season, scored 10 goals in 42 matches.
