London has finished negotiations with the Belgian champion club "Genk" and agreed to acquire young goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

The 19-year-old footballer, for whom about 6 million euros will be paid, will become the first purchase of the new "Chelsea" manager Andre Villas Boas.

The nearly two-meter tall goalkeeper played 40 games last season and was one of the team's leaders.

"We received an offer that we simply couldn't refuse," said "Genk" director Dirk Degraen. "Of course, there were mixed feelings: we wanted Thibaut to stay a bit longer."
