London agreed with talented defensive midfielder Oriol Romeu to acquisition.
Although the details of the deal are not disclosed, it is said that about 5 million euros were paid for the 19-year-old footballer. However, it is speculated that the Spanish champions will be able to buy him back for a set amount for two years.
"Oriol is one of the most promising players in his position," rejoiced Chelsea strategist Andre Villas-Boas. "His future is certainly bright."
In the near future, the midfielder, who is currently preparing with the Spanish youth national team (up to 20 years old) for the World Cup, will have to undergo a medical examination and agree on personal contract terms.
Last season, Romeu played two matches with the main Barcelona team, but spent most of his time in the reserves.
