London's "Chelsea" club will be sold in the near future - club owner Roman Abramovich officially announced. In the official statement, R. Abramovich says: "As I have always said before, I have always made decisions that are best for the club. Therefore, in the current situation, I have made the decision to sell the club, as I believe it is the best decision for the club, fans, employees, as well as sponsors and partners. The sale of the club will not be quick, but will be resolved in the near future. I will not ask for my debts to be repaid. This, personally for me, has never been about my business or profit, but it has been about passion for the game and the club. I also asked my team to organize a charity fund, the proceeds of which would be donated from the sale. This fund will be donated to all those affected by the war in Ukraine, including much-needed money, urgently and immediately given to those affected, thus slowly recovering from the losses suffered. Please understand that this decision was very difficult to make and it hurts me to part with this club in this way. However, I believe that this decision is for the good of the club. I hope that I will be able to visit Stamford Bridge one more time, to say thank you to all of you in person. It has been a lifelong privilege to be part of Chelsea FC and I am proud of our achievements. "Chelsea" football club and club fans will always remain in my heart," R. Abramovich said in an official statement.
