Official: "Chelsea" signed Eduardo

London's "Chelsea" announced the signing of Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper Eduardo.

He is a European champion, as he was part of the Portugal national team that triumphed in France this summer.

The 35-year-old player, who has played a total of matches in the national team during his career, will become the third goalkeeper for the "aristocrats" and will provide competition for Thibaut Courtois and Asmir Begovic.

"Given the opportunity to come to the Premier League and join such a huge club like Chelsea, the decision is easy," Eduardo told the official "Blues" website.

"To me, this league is the best and the most challenging. It's a completely different level than I've played so far. So, it's a new challenge. At the moment, I am ready for it and I feel good."

Eduardo became Chelsea's third signing this summer, along with midfielder N'Golo Kante and striker Michy Batshuayi.
