The team of Saint Petersburg officially confirmed reports that the security guard Claudio Marchisio has left the club.
According to the Russians, the contract was terminated by mutual agreement.
"Zenit" wanted to thank C.Marchisio for the time spent in the team and wished him success in the future," Zenit" wrote.
The 33-year-old veteran played in Russia since last summer when he became unnecessary for the "Juventus" team.
